Want to do something a little different this Valentine’s Day?  I’ve got the inside scoop on some of the most unique and romantic events taking place in Atlanta this February.

1. The Atlanta Ballet: The Atlanta Ballet has two performances to choose from this Valentine’s season. The first is Heart/Beat, which features “sweeping rhythms and infectious jazz music” intertwined into three different works. The perfect option for a date night, this performance will run from February 7th – 15th at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Center. The second option is a very special performance of the Swan Princess. Catered towards children 12 and under, the show is only an hour in length and will be performed February 13th, 15th, and 16th.

2. The Fox Theatre’s Valentine’s Day Celebrations: Kenny “Babyface” Edmonds and Keith Sweat are hosting their 14th annual Valentine’s Celebration for Lovers and Friends on February 8th at the Fox Theatre. And from February 11th – 15th, the Broadway classic Hello, Dolly takes stage at The Fox.

3. The Atlanta Symphony Orchestra: The world’s most beloved tenor, Andrea Bocelli, will perform with Atlanta Symphony Orchestra on Thursday, February 13th. And that’s not all – on February 14th, Tony Bennett will take the stage with special guest Antonia Bennett.

4. Atlanta Botanical Garden: A long-standing Valentine’s Day tradition, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is once again hosting their Valentine’s in the Garden event from 7 p.m. – 11 p.m. on February 14th.

5. Children’s Museum of Atlanta : In honor of Valentine’s Day, the Children’s Museum of Atlanta will be offering special crafts and activities for all guests in attendance on Friday, February 14th.

6. Fernbank After Dark : With an It’s Electric theme, this February 14th Fernbank event is perfect for a couple’s date night or an evening out with friends.

7. High Museum : If you have a teen who loves art, High Museum’s Teen Friday Night Kickback: Comrade in Love would be the perfect Valentine’s Day activity. Held on February 14th from 6 – 9 p.m. at the High Museum, this event is only $5 for teens with a valid student i.d. (free for museum members).

8. Love Stories of Oakland: While not your typical Valentine’s Day location, Atlanta’s historic Oakland Cemetery is filled with countless stories of everlasting, romantic love. On February 14th, guided tours will be offered at the cemetery exploring some of these stories, as well as other frequent symbols of love and devotion found throughout the grounds.

9. Skyline Park: Elevate your Valentine’s Day with an intimate dinner overlooking the city. Ponce City Market’s Skyline Park is offering a 5-course prix fixe menu put together by their Executive Chef Jonathan McDowell.

10. Zoo Atlanta: Enjoy a romantic evening overlooking the new African Savanna at Zoo Atlanta’s Wild at Heart Valentine’s Day Dinner. Taking place on Friday, February 14th, there are two different seating times available for this 21+ event.

And, if you’re feeling really romantic, treat your loved one to a night they will never forget at Netherworld’s Scream in the Dark event. Yes, the infamous haunted house is throwing a special Valentine’s fright-fest on Saturday, February 15th.
