It’s that time again – Back to School! And as always, it feels as though the school year is starting earlier and earlier. In fact, some counties start as early as Wednesday, August 1st and all Metro Atlanta schools will be back in session by Monday, August 6th.
The unofficial international hub of Atlanta, Buford Highway has been producing some of the best restaurants in the city for decades. From Korean to Indian, Caribbean, and Vietnamese, the vast array of global cuisines found along the 6-mile stretch of the Buford Highway ‘corridor’ make it a must for any and all food lovers. Did you know that July is national ice cream month? And in honor of the national celebration (and everyone’s favorite summer treat), Atlanta hosts an ice cream festival each July. This year the Atlanta Ice Cream Festival will take place on Saturday, July 28th in Piedmont Park from 10:30 am – 6:30 pm. In addition to an array of ice cream selections, the festival will feature games and activities and health and nutrition education. And of course, no ice cream festival would be complete without a traditional ice cream eating contest!
