Metro Atlanta is a hot-spot for fall events and festivals.  To make sure you don't miss out on any of your favorites, I've included a long list of some of the best events taking place in October!

Stone Mountain Pumpkin Festival: This traditional Stone Mountain fall event takes place every Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the month of October.

Scarecrows in the Garden:  From October 2nd - 31st, the Atlanta Botanical Garden displays hundreds of scarecrows throughout the grounds.  And the children's costume event - Goblins in the Garden - will be held Sunday, October 28th.

Cumming Fair: Quickly becoming one of the favorite fall events in the metro area, the Cumming Fair will run every day of the week from October 4th - 14th.

Taste of Chamblee: Get a taste of all the best local restaurants on Saturday, October 6th in Downtown Chamblee.

Norcross Art Splash:  Historic Norcross will host local vendors, artists, musicians, and restaurants the weekend of October 6th and 7th.   

Atlanta Chili Cook Off: The 7th Annual Atlanta Chili Cook Off will be held in Brookhaven on Saturday, October 13th.  

Hot-Air Balloon Festival: The Kennesaw "Owl-O-Ween" hot air balloon festival is a two-night event, October 19th and 20th.  

Taste of Atlanta: For three days, October 19th - 21st, over 90 restaurants will showcase their food in the Historic Fourth Ward.  

Little 5 Points Halloween Parade: Little 5 Points will be overtaken by ghosts and goblins on Saturday, October 20th for the annual parade and festival.  

Fall Festival on Ponce: On October 20th and 21st, Olmsted Linear Park will feature over 100 local artists and vendors.

Brookhaven Arts Festival: A smaller festival with a lot of variety, the Brookhaven Arts Festival takes place on Apple Valley Road October 20th and 21st.  

Goldrush Days: For a true fall experience, visit Dahlonega's yearly Goldrush Days festival on October 20th and 21st.

Johns Creek Art Festival:  If you're looking for a festival north of the Atlanta, the Johns Creek Art Festival will be across from the Atlanta Athletic Club on October 20th and 21st.

Boo at the Zoo: A favorite for kids and adults, Zoo Atlanta throws their festive Halloween event October 20th and 21st, as well as October 27th and 28th.

Fernbank Halloween: Fernbank's Dinosaur Trick-or-Treat is a kid-friendly event from 10 am - 2 pm on Saturday, October 27th. Fernbank is also hosting numerous other "Halloween Happenings" throughout the month of October. View their event information page for details.
