Not sure what to get mom for Mother's Day this year? Sometimes the best gifts to give are not 'things', but simply time spent together. And best of all, Atlanta has plenty to offer when it comes to Mother's Day events and experiences. From outdoor festivals to home and garden tours, here are just a few ideas on how to gift your mom a fun-filled Mother's Day weekend.  

Root City Mother's Day Market: A pop-up market featuring local Atlanta artists and vendors, the Root City Mother's Day Market is the perfect destination for the craftsy or art-loving mom. 

Roswell Historic House Museums: If you're looking for a low-key afternoon outing, Roswell’s Southern Trilogy Historic House Museums will be open for free visits to all attendees from 1 pm – 4 pm on Sunday, May 13th.

Southeastern Designer Showhouse and Gardens: Take your mom on a spactular tour of this year's Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle Showcase Home in Buckhead. The showcase started April 19th, with its final day of tours on Mother's Day Sunday. 

Atlanta Botanical Garden: The Atlanta Botanical Garden is sponsoring a Gardens for Connoisseurs Tour on the Saturday and Sunday of Mother’s Day weekend (featuring 10 spectacular private gardens throughout the city), as well as the Annual Atlanta Rose Show (which displays cut roses of every variety and color).

Art and Music Festivals: And if your mom would like to spend the day outside enjoying the beautiful weather, the Decatur Lantern ParadeSweet Auburn FestivalDunwoody Art Festival, and the Chastain Park Arts Festival are all taking place Mother's Day weekend.
